The principle of equal rights implies that the needs of each and every individual are of equal importance, that those needs must be made the basis for the planning of societies and that all resources must be employed in such a way as to ensure that every individual has equal opportunity for participation.
With this programme, the ULPGC establishes the appropriate support requirements for the integration of disabled students therein.
Support is available for:
- Disabled students taking Bachillerato (UK: A-Level), so that we can make any specific modifications that they may need for ULPGC admissions tests and the following adaptation.
- Disabled students at the ULPGC. We recognise that many disabled students need additional support to learn and to develop their abilities. To that end, we provide some tutorial support to improve the adaptation of disabled students.
- Advisors, secondary education teachers and university lecturers, so that they recognise the needs of disabled students and the adjustments they should carry out to improve their academic and personal development.
- Public and private institutions with which the ULPGC has reached agreements on the integration of disabled students.
