The application dates are for all applicants and it is available on the ULPGC website and published in the local press in advance.
The Application and Registration Timetable of the ULPGC are available on www.ulpgcparati.es.
As an exception, students taking Year 2 of Bachillerato in Las Palmas may apply for both an undergraduate study at the ULPGC and the PAU exams in April.
You can apply to as many Universities as you want, taking into account the requirements and timetables for your chosen courses.
You need to submit your application at the ULPGC or at any other place authorised by the ULPGC on each canary island.
You may also submit you application by registered letter. You should send the letter as soon as possible in order to ensure that delays do not affect your application process.
Students taking Year 2 of Bachillerato in Las Palmas shall submit their application to the ULPGC at the high school where they are taking Bachillerato, if they submit the application to the ULPGC and the PAU exams at the same time.
It is very important. The ULPGC shall accept students for the undergraduate studies according to the order indicated by applicants, if they meet the entry requirements of the course for which they have applied.
It is the admission grade of the last student registered in an undergraduate study the previous academic year. This grade is for guidance only and varies every year depending on the number of students applying for each undergraduate study.
You should consult the lists of accepted students, which are available at www.ulpgcparati.es.
All the information on the publication of those lists, complaints dates, registration timetable, etc. will be published in ‘Guidance on Application and Registration Process to the ULPGC’ in advance.
Once you have passed PAU exams, you can re-sit PAU exams as many times as you want in order to improve your grades of the Fase General or the Fase Específica. The grades obtained in the last call will be taken into account, only if they are higher than the previous ones.
This number indicates your position regarding all students who have applied for the same undergraduate degree course. That does not mean that they have chosen the said course as their first option.
Once the first list of accepted students is published, that position number does not vary throughout the entire process. Generally, the position number is higher than the places offered by the ULPGC for undergraduate degree courses with greater demand.
After submitting your Application, you may not make any changes therein. For this reason, it is very important that you read carefully the ‘Guidance on Application and Registration Process to the ULPGC’.
There are only two exceptions to this rule:
- Students taking Year 2 of Bachillerato in Las Palmas that have applied for both an undergraduate study at the ULPGC and the PAU exams in April, may change their application during the ordinary application dates.
- Prior to the last list of accepted students is published, the ULPGC will make public existing vacancies. Students who had not been accepted, may change their Application to fill those vacancies.
You should consult the lists of accepted students because the ULPGC may accept you in the undergraduate degree courses chosen as first or second option after the first registration deadline.
If the ULPGC accepts you in the undergraduate degree course chosen as your third option, you can decide:
- TO REGISTER for that undergraduate degree course. You will have the possibility to register for the undergraduates courses chosen as first or second option if your position in the lists of accepted students changes. If the ULPGC accepts you in the undergraduate courses chosen as first or second option, you can register for one of them through the procedure called ‘MATRÍCULA VIVA’. If you had already paid for the previous registration, the payment will be automatically applied to the new registration.
- NOT TO REGISTER for that undergraduate degree course. You will have the possibility to register for the undergraduates courses chosen as first or second option if your position in the lists of accepted students changes. However, you will not have the possibility to register for the undergraduate degree course concerned.
If you have been accepted for an undergraduate degree course chosen as first or second option, the rest of courses will be automatically rejected.
If you have been accepted for an undergraduate degree course chosen as second option, the rest of courses will be automatically rejected but the one chosen as first option.
Generally, students can apply for accommodation at the ULPGC before the application process for undergraduate courses starts and until such a process is finished.
Both procedures, application for accommodation and for undergraduate degree courses, are independent of each other. However, a student must complete the registration for an undergraduate degree course in order to be accepted for accommodation at the ULPGC.
